Redesign of a Courtyard in Central Stockholm in 2006.
Images open up in a new window.
A small courtyard completely overgrown with grass, small trees, bushes, and holly. The task was to reconcile an existing wooden terrace and entrance to the yard. Since one of the demands was that it was to be easily kept but not be ashphalt the solution focused on terrace and gravel paths, leaving only one tree remaining of the original growth. The idea was to see the terrace as a bridge and the walk to and from the entrance should be performed on beach built of fractions of sea stone.
